Luddy in the news

Luddy continues be in the news with important initiatives and success stories. Just today, three Luddy stories were included in the IU Today newsletters highlighting the excellent work we do in student success, transformative research, and serving our state and beyond.

Last fall, Luddy student Matt Gacek developed a new, ground-breaking AI therapy and personal growth app. The user base expanded rapidly after release. And in less than six months, a company called Miri, based in the San Francisco area, decided to purchase the technology. This also landed Matt with a job as an LLM software engineer at the company.

Luddy Indianapolis will be participating in a new co-op partnership with Eli Lilly and Company. The collaboration will allow students to work for a semester or more at Lilly and receive academic credit. Providing these types of opportunities to our students helps them with their career search after graduation.

Luddy Indianapolis lecturer Zeb Wood is well-known for his expertise in virtual and augmented reality. He's been working across the campus helping advance understanding of these technologies and how they can be used through various sectors. I'm excited to see this feature recognizing the wonderful work he's doing in this area!
